The Magic of Cyanotype with Laura Esgro
Saturday, April 19th from 10:00-12:00
Cyanotype is a centuries-old photographic printmaking process that produces images in a beautifully distinct shade of Prussian blue. It is a medium that is especially intimate with nature, reliant on the UV rays of sunlight for development and traditionally used to make botanical prints. From the creekside nest of Moonastar’s terrace, we will explore some of the rich history of the process, especially its significance to women pioneers in science and photography, and make our own prints using local plants.
All ages are welcome and no prior experience is required! All materials will be provided.
